About the coil pack on your car
The Coil Pack is a feature of newer and improved ignition systems that effectively replaces the older distributor based systems. The spark is controlled electronically through the electronic ignition system and the coil pack is the mechanism that sends the spark (electrical current) to each spark plug via leads (wires).
